Clean Ups
MARINE DEBRIS PROGRAM
We participate with Clean-up Australia Day in March each year, and have worked regularly with The Australian Marine Conservation Society, Sydney Aquatic Cleaners Klub (SACK) and NSW Waterways Authority, to clean up a number of Sydney Harbour beaches.
We typically spend Clean Up Australia Day on a middle harbour beach such as Clifton Gardens or Balmoral. We also conduct a monthly marine debris survey and gather beach debris information for the Tangaroa Blue program.
Upcoming Clean Up Events
3-March-2024:
In collaboration with "Clean Up Australia Day" URG will host an underwater clean up event at Frenchman's Beach
TBD-Sep-2024
In collaboration with CEO Cleanup, URG will attend the clean up event at Manly Cove Beach, Sydney. The date has not yet been announced, but is likely to be on a Friday from 10am – 12pm

URG plans to join Mosman in the Scavenger Hunt as part of the Take 3 for the Sea event. The date for 2024 has not yet been announced.
