Does anyone want to go Montegue Island this Oct/Nov to see the Seals? Laura went last year in Nov for 4 dives and said it was awesome. I haven't dove with any Seals so I'm really keen!. Not sure on dates or when is the best time to go.
We went to Narooma for the weekend of 18-19/11/2006 and had whales as well as seals. Would consider going again in November. How about 3-4 November?
Just spoke to Laura & Reg, and the proposed date is 24 & 25 November 07.....anyone else interested playing with seals that w/e? I think daily cost of diving is $90 + Accommodation.....
You mentioned December, does anyone else prefer December. We are flexible for both dates...
So when we going in December? Can't go on 9.12.07 b/c this is the club bbq.... I was kinda hoping to go in Nov cause the whales...but I'm sure I'll survive if we go in December!

Nov is good for us...
Considering there is a Club trip to Jervis on the 10th I'm not sure if People will want to travel that distance twice in a month thou...but if your up for it then that makes at least 3.

Sure have. In season, they're actually very close to the Seals. Both the Seals & the Grey Nurse Sharks are at the northern part of the island, with the main seal colony on the north-west, while the grey nurse are more towards the north eastern side I believe.

I think that I might be working on the weekend of the 1st/2nd of Dec. Might have to do it on the 24th/25 Nov but that will rule out go karting for me and will also have to change a couple of other things. Its doable. Will check tomorrow at work. I will look into a couple of places for accommadation and let you know whats what.
Hey, I think we'll have to pass on the 24/25.... after reflecting on the idea, we decided that it's too soon after our trip to Port Stephens and we should be saving some money! (We're still recoverying from the lounge ;) )
We still want to go, but perhaps in the new year. :)
No worries about the not going. We might plan in the New Year also. Will let you know what we decide.

For Accomodation, Jan is peak season. For those who are willing to camp i think prices start at $50 a night.

How many nights do poeple want to stay, i was considering doing eiher 2x Double Dives in Narooma, or 1 Double Dive and Then head back to Jervis on the 2nd Days for something else?.
What weekend in JAN?
For Dates I'm now looking at either weekend of , The Vis is supposed to be good in Jan, but the whale have gone by now..
19th - 20th Jan 26th - 28th Jan (Australia Day Long Weekend)
The Australia day long weekend would make the 5hr drive easier, but it wil be busy going south. For those that can take flexy days a friday off might be good option
