Anyone interested in doing a shore BBQ dive in Nov07 or Dec07 (preferrably a Sat)? We're thinking Shelley cuz it's always a nice dive. Parking is a bit of a pain. I suppose there's Kurnel as another option but not sure what the tide is like in Nov. Or what about Terrigal....Haven't seen the big bull ray in ages!
I'm happy to do one dive and look after the sausages while everybody else does a second dive and have it ready as you return! It's been a while since I've had a BBQ shore dive and I'm missing it!

We are interested in the dive. Shelley sounds good to us. Will probably only do a single if its cold as we are wetsuiting only. Only weekend not good for us is Nov 10th (URG Jervis Bay trip). Otherwise anyother saturday is fine.
How about 3rd Nov? or 24?
We are fine for both days. There is SCAN day on the 4th Nov at La Perouse.

Sounds like a good idea. Have you thought about maybe a barbeque / family day perhaps running from Balmoral. We could organise a "shuttle" service from Balmoral to the Gap or North head and do 3 dives in total.
Everyone could bring their non-diving partners as well as children if they're interested, and the facilities at Balmoral are pretty good.

Well Jonathan spoke to the dive officer and I believe they discussed a xmas shore dive bbq around the 9th of December at Shelley (Tentative at this point)...but I like ur idea as well...Gap sounds like fun! And taking the boat out would be ideal. Plus it is a perfect spot for kiddies to play in the water!..I guess we can bring it up at the next meeting and see what everyone else would like to do! R there BBQ's at Balmoral? R u coming to the committee meeting next week or r u o/s?

Do you think its possible to add these items into the Dive Schedule as 'Tentative' or 'Forum Request'. I'm already losing track of all the exciting dives and date and dont' want miss any.

I just instructed Jonathan to include the following tentative dives on the schedule:
1) BBQ day at Shelley for 09.12.2007
2) BBQ Balmoral for 1.01.2007 (Flexible date)
3) Narooma 24 and 25.11.2007
We'll work with this for now.........
But ppl still send your thoughts on dive dates and locations....

Sunday, 9 December. Shelly Beach, Manly. High tide is at 8:40am (if I have adjusted for daylight saving properly). Meet 8:00am or a little earlier if you faff around. In the water by 8:30am. After the dive, brunch. BYOE
